The U.S. Regional Export Control Office in Frankfurt, Germany is staffed by two Export Control Officers responsible for the Bureau of Industry and Security’s (BIS) Strategic Trade Control Representatives for the United States Government throughout Europe and Central Asia. The Regional Export Control Officers work closely with U.S. Embassies, Consulates, foreign governments, trade associations and industry throughout the AoR to facilitate secure trade with the United States. BIS Post Frankfurt promotes the advancement of U.S. national security, trade and economic security and U.S. Department of Commerce Export Control regulations as they relate to strategic trade issues, proliferation, WMD, and international security matters.
