Export Management and Compliance Program and Multi-Agency Compliance Conference

This two-day conference provides expanded training on the development of an Export Management and Compliance Program (EMCP) as well as presentations from various agencies involved in export control compliance.  This program provides hands-on experience in creating and adapting a compliance program for your organization, solving illustrative compliance problems and allowing greater opportunity for the exchange of ideas and solutions among peers. This conference focuses on industry best practices for effective export management and compliance with a strong emphasis on specific strategies to minimize the risk of an export violation. This program will be led by senior export compliance specialists from the Bureau of Industry and Security.

Note:  The information presented in this program is not a legal requirement of the Export Administration Regulations.  It is intended to give informational advice and guidance based on industry best practices in the field of compliance.

Recommended prerequisite: Essentials of Export Controls or Complying with U.S. Export Controls or equivalent experience.

About the Instructors

The instructors are experienced export compliance specialists from BIS's Washington, D.C. headquarters. In addition, representatives from the Bureau of the Census, Department of Treasury Foreign Assets Control Office, Office of Export Enforcement, Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and regional experts from Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Justice have been invited to present. The instructors will be available throughout the seminar to answer your questions on how the export regulations affect the export activities of your organization or client.

Location/time

The program will be held at the Embassy Suites O’Hare-Rosemont, 5500 North River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 8:00am. The program will begin at 9:00am and end at 5:00pm.

Registration

The registration fee for "How to Develop an Export Management and Compliance Program" is $440.00 per person.  The fee includes continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches and materials for both days.
