Technology Controls

This full-day program will offer a comprehensive look at how to comply with the U.S. export and reexport controls relating to technology, software and encryption. Discussion will focus on the regulatory requirements relating to technology and software, including what is considered an export or reexport of technology or software; the kinds of technology and software subject to the EAR; how to determine the Export Control Classification Number; license exceptions; and the unique application requirements of technology and software.

Recommended prerequisite: Essentials of Export Controls or Complying with U.S. Export Controls or equivalent experience

 

About the Instructors

The instructors are experienced export policy specialists and engineers personnel from BIS's Washington, D.C. headquarters. The instructors will be available throughout the seminar to answer your questions on how the export regulations affect the export activities of your organization or client.

 

Location/time

The program will be held at the Westin Hotel-Huntsville, 6800 Governors West, NW, Huntsville, AL 35806. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 7:30am. The program will begin at 8:30am and end at 5:00pm.

Registration

The registration fee for the "Technology Controls" is $275.00 per person. (If you are attending the "Export Control Reform on February 12th, the fee is $500.00 for both). The fee includes continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches and materials for the entire seminar. Registration fees are nonrefundable after February 5, 2014 at 12:00am.
