BRAZIL EXPORT CONTROL INFORMATION

Brazil is a participant in the Missile Technology Control Regime and the Nuclear Suppliers Group. Accordingly, Brazil implements export controls for all items listed by these international export control regimes. Brazil also controls exports of scheduled chemicals subject to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), as well as certain biological items and munitions listed on its national control lists. The Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI) is responsible for exports of dual-use goods, while the Ministry of Defense regulates trade in munitions items. Most import and export clearance processes, including licensing, can be accomplished online through the Brazilian automated foreign trade portal (SISCOMEX)
