If you filled out an Update Interest Form, a lottery was done due to the level of interest in the conference. Email invitations will be sent the week of July 12th and the following information applies:
You must register on or before the date indicated on your invitation. After this date, your registration will be forfeited and transferred to someone on the wait list.
The registration fee for Update 2010 is $975 and includes breakfast and lunch on August 31 and September 1, a Gala Reception on August 31, Exhibitor reception on September 1, and a continental breakfast and buffet lunch on September 2.
Online registration is required regardless of payment method. You may pay by credit card (M/C, VISA, American Express) or by check. Checks should be made out to the BIS Seminar Trust Fund 96B2229. All checks must be received by BIS on or before August 13, 2010. Checks must be sent by courier to: U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, 14th Street & Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Room 1099D, Washington, DC 20230. Attn: Christine Wheeler.
A refund, less a $50 administrative charge, is available for cancellations made on or before Friday, July 30, 2010. No refunds are available after this date.
Cancellation requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put “Cancellation Request” in the subject line.
Transferring Your Registration Authorization
If you would like to allow someone else from your organization to register in your place, you must receive prior approval from BIS. Transfer requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Registration Code Transfer Request" in the subject line and provide the new contact information, including email address.
After you have registered, you may also transfer your registration to another member of your organization at any time on or before August 13, 2010. Please note that BIS is unable to accommodate requests for changing the payment method or transferring charges to another credit card account. Transfer requests must be made by email to Updateconference@bis.doc.gov. Please put "Registration Transfer Request" in the subject line along with the new contact information, including email address.
Registrations may NOT be transferred outside of your organization. Registrations may NOT be resold.
