Update 2007 Preconference Information

Update continues to grow in popularity, and BIS has made every effort to increase the capacity for this year’s conference. In order to make registration as fair as possible, this year there was a two-step registration process.

BIS posted an on-line "Update Interest Form" to be filled out anytime between July 9 and August 3, 2007. At the end of this period, there were more potential participants than space available and BIS made registration assignments through a random selection process with an effort to ensure that at least one person from every interested organization was included.

Those whose names were drawn were notified the week of August 13, 2007 and will given instructions on how to register the week of August 20, 2007. Those whose names are not drawn have been notified that they have been placed on a wait list.

Registration transfers within companies or organizations may be permitted with prior approval from BIS. Registration transfers will not be permitted between organizations or companies. Registrations may not be resold.

Due to the limited capacity of the Update Conference, BIS reserves the right to limit, restrict or decline registrations to this event. Registrations are not confirmed until accepted and verified by BIS and the registration fee has been paid.
