The Export Control Commodity Classification Tool teaches government and industry export control officials the concepts of proper commodity classification. Once the user is familiar with the concept of classifying products according to the European Union (EU) list, he/she can use the key word search tool to rapidly identify unique items within the EU control list. By accessing appropriately highlighted sections of the EU list, the user can "cut and paste" appropriate technical parameters from EU list entries to justify his/her commodity classification of the item under review.
This tool is available for use in the United States and in foreign countries and is available both in English and Russian. The Export Control Commodity Classification Tool is a stand-alone tool and has also been integrated into version 2.0 of the ICP tool.
