National Control List:
Fundamentals of Commodity Classification NCL- 301

The National Control List: Fundamentals of Commodity Classification course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the European Union (EU) Control List and how that list is used by licensing officers and industry to make proper commodity classifications. The course utilizes standard lecture material, computer based simulations of the classification process and paper based exercises that will effectively teach participants how to rate products against the EU Control List.

Prerequisites:

NCL-101, NCL-201

Objectives:

Provide export control officials with the skills necessary to properly classify commodities using the European Union Model Export Control List.
