Fundamentals LP - 101

The Export License Processing Fundamentals course illustrates the key decisions related to the processing of a dual-use export with special emphasis on the interagency aspect of the US system. Course describes the key components of an effective export control system—a license processing system that meets the needs of exporters without jeopardizing national security interests and a mechanism by which disputes between agencies or license evaluators can be resolved.

None

Objectives:

Provide senior policy officials with an understanding of the organizational requirements necessary to setup an effective export control system. Explain various dispute resolution forums that the US has instituted to illustrate this aspect of the license processing system.
